The McCallum Polypenco Bb Pipe Chanter was designed to tune at concert pitch which is Bb (466 Hz). This allows it to tune in more easily with other instruments in bands, groups and ensembles. A very pleasing sound is the result. This chanter incorporates a threaded reed seat which allows ease of tuning and prevents the reed from coming loose. It allows for easy yet precise adjustments of the reed. The reed is locked in place until the player moves it, and is a more accurate way of setting chanter pitch. Each chanter carries the McCallum Bagpipe and Bb marking.
