Henderson cane drone reeds are made from hand-selected premium cane. These reeds are sought out by those wanting pure and traditional sound of cane. They have been played by the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, the Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band, Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band, and Scottish Power Pipe Band.
Cane drone reeds require more regular playing to maintain the moisture in the fibers that produce the warm, rich, harmonic sound that cane reeds are famed for.
