The Canning Original Drone Reeds were launched in 2006 and played by pipers and pipe bands worldwide. The Carbon fibre bass reed produces a deep, strong bass tone and is extremely steady. It comes fitted with a flat silicone bridle for accurate and easy strength adjustment. A tuning screw in the detachable nose cone allows for extra pitch adjustment.
Canning Original Drone Reeds are steady, easy to strike in and tune, air efficient, and have exceptional tonal quality. In addition, each set of reeds are personally tested by Ryan before they are sold.
They have easy-to-use pitch screw adjusters, plastic tongues (carbon fibre bass) and rubber band bridles.
