McCallum Ceòl Pipe Chanters

The McCallum Polypenco Ceòl Pipe Chanter is played by pipe bands worldwide, including many top Grade 1 bands. It is also played by many top soloists. This chanter incorporates a threaded reed seat which allows ease of tuning and prevents the reed from coming loose. It allows for easy yet precise adjustments of the reed. The reed is locked in place until the player moves it, and is a more accurate way of setting chanter pitch. Each chanter carries the McCallum Bagpipe marking. McCallum Bagpipe chanters feature a high-quality tone that has been adopted by many Grade One Pipe Bands to deliver their musical presence.

The McCallum Bb Ceòl Polypenco Pipe Chanter was designed to tune at concert pitch which is Bb (466 Hz). This allows it to tune in more easily with other instruments in bands, groups and ensembles. A very pleasing sound is the result. This chanter incorporates a threaded reed seat which allows ease of tuning and prevents the reed from coming loose. It allows for easy yet precise adjustments of the reed. The reed is locked in place until the player moves it, and is a more accurate way of setting chanter pitch.
