The MacRae Solo Polypenco Pipe Chanter was designed and is played by one of the world's most highly decorated soloists - Stuart Liddell. This chanter incorporates a threaded reed seat which allows ease of tuning and prevents the reed from coming loose. It allows for easy yet precise adjustments of the reed. The reed is locked in place until the player moves it, and is a more accurate way of setting chanter pitch. Each chanter carries the MacRae Bagpipes marking. The MacRae is designed at a slightly lower pitch with tonal balance as a focus in design. Hole size is slightly smaller than most other chanters for playing comfort.
