The Anne of Green Gables Museum refers to the Green Gables farmhouse, a historical site located in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada. This farm house and its surroundings inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery when she wrote Anne of Green Gables.
It has been preserved and restored to resemble the the beloved farm house described in the Anne Green Gables Book Series. Tartan/Plaid is a patterned fabric characterized by intersecting horizontal and vertical bands of multiple colours called thread counts (width of lines). The colour scheme of the Green Gables has been reflected in this tartan, designed to commemorate this historic property.
